Questions about the hotel in general

Check-in is possible from 14:00. On the day of departure we ask you to check out by 11:00 am.

We ask for your understanding that dogs are not permitted in our hotel – for an undisturbed wellness and relaxation vacation.

Our guests enjoy many extras at no extra charge: the Kesslermühle gourmet board with a rich breakfast buffet and a 6-course evening meal, use of the entire wellness area, free Wi-Fi and parking as well as the KONUS guest card for free travel by bus & train in the Black Forest. By car via the B31 to Hinterzarten, parking spaces directly at the hotel (including e-charging stations). By train to Hinterzarten station, from there only a few minutes by cab.

Parts of the hotel are barrier-free, including the elevator and selected rooms. Please indicate your request when booking.

All rooms are modern and comfortably furnished with a seating area, flat-screen TV, safe, high-quality bed linen, bathrobes, towels, hairdryer and toiletries.

Most of the rooms are pleasantly cool, some have modern ventilation systems.

Our four room categories differ mainly in terms of space, bathroom facilities and location:

  • The suites (approx. 62-72 m²) offer a separate living/sleeping area, dressing room and a wellness bathroom (e.g. free-standing bathtub, some with steam shower).
  • The rooms in the Superior double room category (approx. 46-47 m²) are the largest double rooms with a south-facing balcony and bathtub + walk-in shower and separate WC.
  • The rooms in the Comfort double room category (approx. 35-46 m²) all have a balcony (mostly south, some west) and vary in layout and extras depending on the type – from Swiss stone pine interior to dressing room to “newly renovated”.
  • The rooms in the comfort single room category (approx. 19-25 m²) are more compact, with different bed widths and, depending on the type, with or without a balcony.

Yes, all mattresses and bedding are allergy-friendly.

Questions about Wellness & Spa

Our spa is one of the most beautiful wellness areas in the Black Forest. Highlights in our water landscape include the heated outdoor infinity pool with panoramic views, the spacious sauna area with five different saunas, a light-flooded indoor pool, cozy relaxation rooms and a wide range of massages and beauty treatments.

Five saunas, steam baths, an indoor pool, relaxation rooms, a panoramic infinity pool, a fitness area and a large lawn surrounded by greenery await you on over 1,000 m².

Massages and treatments can be booked in advance or directly at reception. We recommend booking in advance. Discover all applications in detail.

Our outdoor pool is pleasantly heated all year round and can also be used in winter.

Of course, you can enjoy our wellness area and pool both on the day of arrival and on the day of departure – until check-out. If you would like more time to relax, please contact us – longer use is possible subject to availability.

Our spacious wellness area is exclusively available to our hotel guests. However, we welcome external guests to book individual wellness treatments such as massages or beauty treatments.

In our spa, we work with high-quality brands such as Babor and Thalgo.
In the Kesslermühle you will find our well-equipped fitness room as well as great sports offers from yoga, Pilates, back exercises, aqua fit to a daily activity program. Talk to us on site if you would like to take part in one of the courses.

Look forward to a rich breakfast buffet with live cooking, fine cakes in the afternoon and a 6-course gourmet menu with regional and seasonal ingredients in the evening. There is also a small lunch menu with light dishes.
