30th anniversary of sous-chef Stefan Weise

Exactly today, on December 15, 2023, Stefan Weise has been an irreplaceable member of the Kesslermühlen team for 30 years. Together with head chef Helmut Winkler, he creates fine compositions and creative delicacies for our guests.

This enthusiasm for the profession and the industry is also greatly appreciated by the Meisinger family. During a staff meeting before the reopening after the company vacations, Stefan Weise was honored by the Meisinger family and the entire team for his many years of loyalty to the Kesslermühle and presented with a gift.

The original letter of employment for Stefan Weise, which was written by senior manager Renate Birkenberger, also emerged during the preparations for the award. When Claudia Meisinger read it out to the assembled team, many realized for the first time that Mr. Weise was originally only supposed to come to Hinterzarten for 6 months as a young chef, for the winter season.

In his speech, Mr. Weise told how half a year turned into 30 years. The many sports facilities, the beauty of the Black Forest, the friendliness of the people and of course the team at the Kesslermühle with the Meisinger family have all played their part in the fact that we are still able to welcome Stefan Weise to our company every day.

Time and again, he ensures that new recipes are tried out and new creations find their way into the menu. In his free time, he also regularly goes out into the forest to pick mushrooms, berries and herbs, so that guests are regularly surprised with mushrooms, berries and herbs that he has collected himself.
